The Very Beginning...
Back in June 2003, as blogs were starting to grow in popularity, i decided that i would like to have my very own too. It started out with a premade layout, no commenting system, no tagboard, no blog buddies ... just me and my notepad writing down the day's happenings every single day after school. & when i had nothing to write, i would simply put up anime / manga reviews or some interesting quiz results i had got.

Slowly, i had completely ignored the anime website i had, and my blogging website became my favourite. I didn't even install any trackers on it because i was sure that nobody would be interested in my blog ... but boy was i wrong :P upon installment of the statistics tracker i was really surprized that i was getting some 100 hits a day (well, a lot for such a blog no?).

The Revolution...
A year later (June 2004), i decided that it was time i got hosted by someone and i was happily and proudy hosted by the lovely Lucifel.

It was then that my blog slowly started shaping up and taking the format of today. Installing a commenting system , adding some minor visitor content, and the blogging buddies :) (which one of them, Ravencroft, has her own blog hosted with me and we're still best of friends!)

Getting my own Domain
After almost 2 years of being hosted on Nocturnal.nu, i then moved out to my own domain, because i felt that i cannot grow as much as i wanted being restricted to just a sub-domain.

In the beginning the site was going to feature all my pixel work and visitor content, and the blog was cast aside in a sub domain. Soon moved it back out to the main site again after most of the visitors and affiliates were commenting there, thinking that the site updates were the actual blog! ... So i slowly changed S-G.net into a more personal site ... The rest is history.

D O M A I N    N A M E    I N F O R M A T I O N

It was hard to come up with a name. I did not want something femminine, but not something which would sound stupid with pixel creations and cute things. Below are some ideas i had for my domain names:

1. Child-Prey.org
2. Burning-Blood.net
3. Electric-Blood.net
4. Dead-Candy.com
5. Silent Jealousy
6. Kamikaze-Dreams.net
7. Endless-Rain.net

Originally, over 2 years beforehand, i decided i wanted my domain to be named Kamikaze-Dreams and stuck with that idea, but naming a site like that in the prsent would be .. well, you know ... because of Iraq & Israel issues... So i ended up giving it up. After coming up with the names above, I started shortlisting those which i felt were either too feminine or too 'brutal' for my content ideas... And was about to decide on Burning-Blood when it hit me: while listening to Jack off Jill, one of my favourite bands = "Strawberry-Gashes"! Not too femminine, not too brutal - can be both and neither at the same time :) perfect for me!

"Strawberry Gashes" is listed as Track number #5 on the album "Clear Hearts Grey Flowers" by the band Jack off Jill. The album was released back in 2000.
